Quels sont les \u00e9l\u00e9ments les plus chers dans un smartphone ? Les trois composants les plus on\u00e9reux dans un t\u00e9l\u00e9phone sont, dans l\u2019ordre croissant, l\u2019\u00e9cran, le modem et le SoC<\/strong>. Et pour les deux plus chers, ce ne sont pas les co\u00fbts de production de ces composants qui impactent le prix facial des t\u00e9l\u00e9phones, mais bien les brevets qui y sont associ\u00e9s<\/strong>. Car, pour utiliser un composant, vous devez \u00e9videmment vous acquittez des licences d\u2019exploitation. Pour un processeur, les brevets repr\u00e9sentent environ les deux tiers du co\u00fbt du composant.<\/p>\n

Le montant des Snapdragon de Qualcomm n\u2019est pas une donn\u00e9e publique, pour des raisons commerciale \u00e9vidente (chaque constructeur b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant de conditions tarifaires qui d\u00e9pendent de sa capacit\u00e9 de n\u00e9gociation). Mais les marques de smartphones s\u2019accordent \u00e0 dire, hors de port\u00e9e des micros, que les SoC de la firme de San Diego ne sont pas \u00ab bons march\u00e9s \u00bb, notamment sur le haut de gamme. Et pour cause : la notori\u00e9t\u00e9 des Snapdragon n\u2019est plus \u00e0 faire et la concurrence, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e essentiellement par MediaTek, a bien des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 convaincre.<\/p>\n

Pour preuve, il suffit de compter les smartphones (en comptant les mod\u00e8les exclusifs au march\u00e9 chinois) sortis avec le Snapdragon 8 Gen 2<\/a> et ceux avec son adversaire direct, le Dimensity 9200 : un peu plus de 40 d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 et moins de 10 de l\u2019autre<\/strong>. Rien \u00e0 voir. Et la majorit\u00e9 d\u2019entre eux ne sont sortis qu\u2019en Chine. La seule exception est le Xiaomi 13T Pro<\/a>, test\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment dans nos colonnes. Les performances du smartphone sont un peu moins \u00e9lev\u00e9es que celles du Xiaomi 13 Ultra<\/a>, mais elles restent tr\u00e8s bonnes. Les prestations sont premium. Et le prix est bien plus modique, pour un rapport qualit\u00e9\/prix clairement en sa faveur.<\/p>\n
