L'iPhone 11 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera comme c'est devenu coutume d'un nouveau SoC, qui devrait sans surprise s'appeler (au moins en partie) A13. Cette puce sera grav\u00e9e comme son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur par TSMC en 7nm, mais via un nouveau proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de gravure, baptis\u00e9 N7 Pro, plus avanc\u00e9 que le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 N7+\/EUV que HiSilicon s'appr\u00eate \u00e0 utiliser sur son Kirin 985. L'id\u00e9e est de pouvoir cr\u00e9er des composants encore plus petits et pr\u00e9cis tout en conservant la finesse de gravure 7nm. Apple pourrait ainsi conserver une avance technologique sur ses concurrents Android en 2019 – en tout cas en mati\u00e8re de SoC.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, le couple Apple + TSMC s'est impos\u00e9 comme l'un des meilleurs fondeurs de l'industrie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des SoC, ou Systems on a chip\u00a0<\/em>qui permettent de d\u00e9livrer des performances de calcul brutes et graphiques de haut vol, tout en int\u00e9grant des dispositifs de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, comme l'enclave s\u00e9curis\u00e9e qui prot\u00e8ge par exemple les donn\u00e9es sensibles telles que vos empreintes digitales ou autres donn\u00e9es biom\u00e9triques. C'est aussi le SoC qui int\u00e8gre le traitement neural de certaines t\u00e2ches – via un NPU d\u00e9di\u00e9, ou un DSP servant aussi au traitement d'image, en fonction des constructeurs. Depuis plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, les SoC Apple Axx arrivent \u00e0 se placer durablement en haut des classement de benchmarks. Si bien qu'aujourd'hui, une puce Axx qui a g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de retard sur un Snapadragon, par exemple, signifie bien souvent des scores AnTuTu et Geekbench comparables<\/a>.<\/p>\n
